Course Description

SCMG 375: Supply Chain Management Techniques

3 credits
 

This course will introduce the major SCM strategic, tactical, and operational information techniques, systems, technology, and processes being utilized by industry leaders to integrate SCM operations and enhance collaboration within and across enterprises. This course will build extensively on the functional knowledge acquired in the business core Supply Chain Management (SCMG 367) course by introducing best in class methods for evaluating and enhancing supply chain operations. Instruction and practice in techniques of process and project management in such concepts as lean and six sigma will provide solid SCM foundational analytical skills while enhancing the scope of SCM knowledge. In addition, this course will include development of skills to properly identify the correct application of the various SCM techniques discussed. While this course is required for the SCM program, it will also be very beneficial to other business majors especially Information Systems, International Business, and Marketing.
