We seek
to provide our students with skills for all aspects
of life, not simply preparation for a specific
career path. To this end, our courses and programs
stress critical thinking, logical problem solving,
quantitative analysis, and written and oral communication
skills. In addition to being well-positioned
for exciting careers upon graduation, our graduates
will be prepared to succeed in graduate school
in multiple disciplines, including the economics,
law, political science, finance, and marketing.
We judge our success by our students' ability to
think and reason independently, to examine both the
positive and normative aspects of an issue, and to
draw conclusions that can be supported by sound analysis.
Both in and out of our classrooms, we have created
a learning environment characterized by close interaction
between faculty and students, an open exchange of
ideas, and an examination of the ethics and values
reflected in our thought and action. |
