Donald W. Weber Scholarship

Duquesne University's A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration is delighted to announce the Donald W. Weber Endowed Scholarship Award. A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded for the 2008-2009 academic year to a qualified student from the A. J. Palumbo School of Business Administration. Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with a QPA of 3.50 or higher are eligible to apply.

A Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of Business School faculty and/or administrators and alumni will review the applications.

Scholarship awards are effective for the Fall semester of the next academic year. Factors considered in the selection process include: academic achievement with a 3.50 or higher QPA; University and community service; employment history; financial need and a personal statement related to your current situation and career goals.   1. Applicants are expected to complete the official Weber Scholarship application form, including a one-page word-processed essay. Applications are available in the Advisement Office of the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration in 705 Rockwell Hall and online (see below).

    Completed applications must be submitted to the Advisement Office by 12:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2009. We strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Your early submission allows sufficient time to resolve any administrative problems or questions.

  2. The overall quality and completeness of the information you submit is very important. The quality of information submitted by the applicants will determine the list of finalists.

  3. Selected finalists may be asked to appear before the Scholarship Selection Committee for a personal interview. If conducted, the personal interview will serve as the final step in the selection process.
