The Accounting Information Systems program prepares students for career opportunities in the fields of systems design, accounting systems management, accounting systems auditing and other systems-related areas of accounting. The AIS major addresses the current scarcity of Information Technology graduates who have a fundamentally sound understanding of a firm's accounting system coupled with conceptual knowledge and hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications (click to explore the Peoplesoft on campus program), as well as the lack of Accounting graduates who are familiar and comfortable using advanced technology to perform the accounting function.
