The Accounting curriculum prepares graduates for careers in public and private accounting. Students may choose to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or a corporate accountant. Internships with local accounting firms and corporations are often an important element in the student’s career development. In addition to general accounting theory and practice, the curriculum includes Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Income Tax Accounting, Accounting Practice and Systems, and Corporate and Partnership Taxation.
