Management by Projects: A Portfolio Approach

This comprehensive workshop has been designed for experienced program managers, project managers, coordinators or leaders responsible for the timely delivery of products and/or services.  The workshop is focused around case studies and exercises that will simulate a program management environment consisting of concurrent multiple projects in a cross-functional resource (matrix) environment.

The workshop delivers proven advanced practical tools and techniques to the person who is tasked with managing a portfolio of projects or programs.  You will learn how to manage projects that require quantifiable decision-making processes.  You will also learn to utilize a structured planning approach that accommodates the inevitable shifting of resources and funds across projects in response to changing business needs.

This workshop follows the principles and techniques outlined in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®)

Prerequisites:

Attendees should have completed at least an introduction to project management seminar or have background/experience in project management.
