You are invited to apply for the School of Business Administration Alumni Association (SBAAA) Scholarship, which was established to assist School of Business Administration students with their ongoing academic pursuits.

This Scholarship is made possible through annual fund raising efforts undertaken by the SBAAA.

The following are minimum requirements necessary for application:

  • Applicants must be a sophomore or junior in the School of Business Administration.
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative Quality Point Average at the start of the spring semester.
  • Applicants not demonstrating financial need as defined by the Financial Aid Office will be considered for scholarship assistance based on merit.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need as determined by the submission of a Financial Aid form to the Financial Aid Office.

The following are instructions for application:

  1. Applicants are expected to complete the official SBAAA Scholarship application form, including a one-page word-processed essay. Applications are available in the Advisement Office of the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration in 705 Rockwell Hall and online (see below).

Completed applications must be submitted to the Advisement Office by 12:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2009. We strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Your early submission allows sufficient time to resolve any administrative problems or questions.

  2. The overall quality and completeness of the information you submit is very important. The quality of information submitted by the applicants will determine the list of finalists.

  3. Selected finalists may be asked to appear before the Scholarship Selection Committee for a personal interview. If conducted, the personal interview will serve as the final step in the selection process.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Thomas A. Pollack, Associate Dean, at (412) 396-1639, or Mrs. Mary Lou Grasser, Dr. Pollack's Assistant, at (412) 396-5701.

The awards will be announced by the end of the spring semester.
