The Beard Institute

Advancing Business Ethics, Sustainability and Responsible Financial Management

Welcome

I would like to share some exciting news about changes at the Palumbo Donahue School of Business. The School has expanded the focus of The Beard Center for Leadership in Ethics. Named for its benefactor Eugene P. Beard, the newly created Beard Institute focuses on the importance of business ethics, finance and sustainability in the global marketplace. These knowledge areas will continue to evolve as critical factors of progressive, successful organizations. The Beard Institute offers educational programs and resources that promote the importance of these three knowledge areas in business today.

I welcome you to learn more about the Beard Institute by exploring our new Web site.

A recent survey of graduate business schools conducted by Academy of Management Learning and Education, a well-regarded interdisciplinary management journal, named Duquesne, Georgetown and Notre Dame as the three schools scoring highest for ethics.
